When you uninstall a game through the Big Fish Games App (Game Manager), a folder is intentionally left behind that contains your saved game progress. This ensures you don't lose your place if you decide to reinstall. However, these save files can occasionally become corrupted, which can cause the game to crash or fail to open.
The instructions below will guide you through finding and removing these specific files and folders to ensure your next installation is completely fresh.
⚠️ Use at Your Own Risk!
The steps in this article involve manually deleting files and folders from your computer. This process is irreversible — deleted files cannot be recovered unless you have previously created a backup. Big Fish Games is not responsible for any data loss, system issues, or unintended consequences that may result from following these instructions, including but not limited to: permanent loss of saved game progress, accidental deletion of unrelated files, or issues arising from the use of third-party tools such as CCleaner.
We strongly recommend backing up any important files before proceeding. If you are unsure about any step, please contact our Support Team for assistance before making changes to your system.
File Locations
While the Big Fish Game Manager & main game files are stored in the Program Files (x86) folder by default, the saved game files are usually stored somewhere else. Below are some common locations for these files:
C: > Users > [Username] > AppData > Local
C: > Users > [Username] > AppData > LocalLow
C: > Users > [Username] > AppData > Roaming
C: > Users > [Username] > Documents
C: > Users > [Username] > Documents > My Games
DO NOT delete the entire folder. Once inside these folders, look for a folder named after the specific Game Title or the Developer (e.g., Suricate, Domini, etc.). You don't need to dig for specific files—simply delete the entire folder for that game. These game folders you can delete, and will be automatically recreated with fresh, clean settings the next time you install and play the game.
When searching for these folders, keep in mind that naming conventions vary by developer. The game or company name might appear with spaces (e.g., Big Fish Games), without spaces (BigFishGames), or even as a shortened abbreviation. If you don't see the full title immediately, try searching for a keyword from the name instead.

CCleaner
If you are having trouble manually removing specific game files or folders, we recommend using a third-party application called CCleaner. It is particularly effective at clearing out hidden 'junk' and 'orphan' files that might be preventing a clean reinstall.
You can find the free version of CCleaner HERE.
NOTE: This is not a Big Fish product. While it is a useful tool to help locate and remove problem files/folders, we are not responsible for any issues that may arise from using it. We always recommend creating a backup of your important files before performing any system cleaning.
How to Use CCleaner
Custom Clean: Select the Custom Clean tab and ensure Temporary Files and Caches are checked for your browsers and system.
Review & Fix: Click Review selected Issues. (When asked if you want to back up the registry, we recommend selecting Yes just in case).
Fix All: Select Fix All Selected Issues and then restart your computer.
