FAQ — How Do I Add/Update a Payment Method for Individual Game Purchases?

Please note that payment information for individual game purchases and Game Club Subscriptions is stored separately. This means that even if you have a credit card saved for your Game Club Subscription, you'll still need to enter payment details when making your first individual game purchase — whether you'd like to use the same card, a different one, or PayPal. This will only be skipped if you explicitly saved your payment info for individual purchases at a previous time.

NOTE: This behavior will most likely be changed in a future update.

The easiest way to check whether you have payment details saved for individual purchases is to look at the checkout screen. If it looks similar to the screenshot below — prompting you to add a new credit card or PayPal account — then you do not have any payment details saved for individual game purchases:

You can scroll down the page or click on any of the following links for instructions on how to add/change payment information for individual game purchases:

Credit Card — No Payment Information is Saved

  • From the checkout screen, click Add a new credit card. Then enter your card details.

NOTE: If you want to save it for later use, check the Save for my next payment box. This will save your card for individual game purchases only.

NOTE: After entering your card details, if one is not present, be sure to click the Add New Address button to add the address attached to the credit card.

  • Once your payment details & address have been entered, click the green Place Order button to complete your order.

NOTE: Before placing your order, you may also apply any Big Fish Points or Promo Codes that you have.

Credit Card — Payment Information is Already Saved

  • From the checkout screen, click the Change link located in the upper-right corner of the box that contains your current payment information.

  • Click Add new payment method.

  • Click Add a new credit card. Then enter your card details.

NOTE: If you want to save it for later use, check the Save for my next payment box. This will save your card for individual game purchases only.

NOTE: After entering your card details, if one is not present, be sure to click the Add New Address button to add the address attached to the credit card.

  • Once your payment details & address have been entered, click the green Place Order button to complete your order.

NOTE: Before placing your order, you may also apply any Big Fish Points or Promo Codes that you have.

PayPal — No Payment Information is Saved

  • From the checkout screen, click Add a new PayPal account.

  • Next, click on the yellow PayPal button.

  • Enter your account information in the PayPal pop-up box and log in to your account.
    • Or Create an Account if you don't already have one.

  • Choose the payment method from within PayPal by clicking the corresponding radio button.
    • Or click Add a debit or credit card to add new payment information.
  • Click the blue Agree & Pay Now button after choosing what to pay with to return to the checkout screen.

  • Once you're back on the checkout screen, click the green Place Order button to complete your order.

PayPal — Payment Information is Already Saved
